The wait is over, I'm back

Considering I've been gone for so long, it was hard to get going again because I had so many pictures to review. I think the easiest way to do this is going to be posting one or two picture from each of the albums I have created since December. After finals I went to New Orleans, which is always a blast unless you get the flu like me. I only had one day to shoot in New Orleans, so I didn't get to go back to re-take some of my favorite pictures. I still got some good pictures in the short time I had. here are a few...

After leaving New Orleans I was sick until the very end of the break. So I spent two weeks in bed, and took 0 pictures.

Upon returning to Lubbock I discovered a little gem called Prairie Dog Town. I went there expecting to take pictures of prairie dogs, but turns out they hate cameras and people, so easier said than done. These are two of the better pictures from the occasion.
This one is just to show how many geese were in this pond

I like this picture because I think it portrays the character of a small town

I hope you don't get bored with Lubbock pictures, because thats pretty much what the rest of these are going to be. The next few pictures are from the National Ranching Heritage Museum. It was a pretty cool place with houses and barns from around the state dating back to the late 1700's. This is a picture of an old truck that was part of the set of an old oil well.

After that week, It got really cold in Lubbock, as in below 0. Getting bored with staying inside I decided to mess with light painting. Light painting is simply finding a really dark room, setting your shutter speed to something crazy like 15 seconds, and then using a flashlight to paint an image. It turned out to be pretty easy, and a lot of fun. The first picture is of me "painting" a sailboat, and the second one is of lauren creating a snow man.

I went home last weekend, and spent most of my time in Southlake with Kramer. I decided to hike Bob Jones park, which turned out to be a very long hike. I took one picture that I thought was worth sharing, It is of a few golden leaves hanging on a vine, and in the obscure background is the trail I was hiking. I think this picture is a pretty cool nature picture. I think it portrays the "hike your own hike" message quite well.

It was a foggy morning in Lubbock, so I decided to bike over to campus and see if anything caught my eye, Which is funny, because every picture that caught my eye had nothing to do with fog, but O well.

(thats my beloved bike on the bench)

Thanks for checking out the blog, please post comments. I will try to not wait three months to post again.
Also here are two bonus pictures.
