Late Bloom In Texas

The past few months in this great state have been plagued with drought. It isn't the usual summer drought where you can't water your lawn from 7AM-7PM, which is in affect, but we have seen devastating wildfires throughout the Big Bend area, through the south planes, and as far east as Possum Kingdom lake. These terrible conditions can be seen no matter where you go. You could see the Dickens county fire from I-20, or 114. The smoke has enveloped the whole state practically. When driving from Lubbock to Sweetwater you can see the charred remains of the Justiceburg fire. Recently the rains have actually started falling around the state. Not nearly enough, but we will take what we can get. With the small amounts of rain we have received, we are starting to see the wildflowers bloom.
